Friendship Month and Spirit Week!
Good morning,
September is Friendship Month and we are celebrating here on the Lakeview campus next week. Mrs. Hernandez, our incredible school counselor, will have some fun lunchtime activities available for all students. And ASB will be sponsoring a Spirit Week! All of our Spirit Days will have a special theme that connect to the ideas of Friendship Month.
Monday, 9/22:
Let Friendship Shine Bright: Wear Neon
Tuesday, 9/23:
Best Friend Day: Twin with your best friend
Wednesday, 9/24:
Rally Behind Your Team: Wear a sports shirt/jersey (also the day of our volleyball rally!)
Thursday, 9/25:
Friends are the Real Superheroes: Superhero Day
Friday, 9/26:
Trojan Pride: Wear black and gold
I am also attaching a history of Friendship Month, written by my ASB Secretary Gracie Nunez. I encourage you and your family to discuss the ideas behind the month and the importance of friendship in our daily lives. We all rely on friends in one way or another, and most of us require at least one friendship to help us feel emotionally happy and socially fulfilled. Friendship Month is about highlighting the significance of what friends mean and celebrating what friendship bring to all of lives every day.
As another reminder, if you are interested in chaperoning for our dance on 10/3, I am still looking for volunteers! Please go back a few posts to find the Google Form to complete. I'm looking forward to seeing excellent participation in next week's Spirit Week and I appreciate your continued support. Have a wonderful weekend!
