Hancock Offers Courses on Becoming an Instructional Assistant
OUSD parents and community,
If you have interest in becoming a classroom instructional assistant, Allan Hancock College can help get you on your way. This summer, Hancock is offering three FREE noncredit courses on increasing confidence and competence as an instructional aide in a classroom. A fourth class has yet to be scheduled that will include experiential learning in a classroom setting. The three classes scheduled are:
EDUN 7000 Instructional Aide I
EDUN 7001 Instructional Aide II
EDUN 7003 Bilingual Instructional Aide
The courses are scheduled to be taught this summer at Hancock’s Santa Maria campus on Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:30-10:30am. Each class leads into the next. The first class starts on June 29, and the last class ends on July 29. In the fall term, Hancock will be offering the same program in the early evenings from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
